These terms cover the theysap.com website and the macOS applications published under the theysap name. Downloading or using an app means you accept them.
Licence
The apps are free and open source. Each is released under the licence stated in its own repository. Notch Island is MIT. That licence governs what you may do with the software, and where it says something different from these terms, the licence wins.
The theysap name, the wordmark, and the app icons are not covered by those licences. You may not use them to suggest that a modified build, a fork, or an unrelated product comes from theysap.
No warranty
The apps are provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. They are small tools written by a small team; they may have bugs, and they may stop working after a macOS update.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, theysap is not liable for any claim, damages, data loss, or other liability arising out of or in connection with the software or its use, whether in an action of contract, tort, or otherwise. You install and run these apps at your own risk.
Downloads and distribution
The only official downloads are the release artefacts published on github.com/theysap and the links on this site that point to them. Builds obtained anywhere else are not vouched for.
Because the apps are not notarised by Apple, macOS will warn you on first launch. The install instructions explain how to proceed and what that warning does and does not mean. Choosing to open the app is your decision, and the responsibility for it is yours.
Updates and availability
There is no guarantee that any app will continue to be developed, updated, or made available. A release may be withdrawn, and a project may be archived, at any time and without notice.
Third-party services
The apps and this site link to GitHub, and the apps fetch release information and cover art over the network. Those services have their own terms, which are not controlled by theysap.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be revised. The date at the top of this page shows when they last were. Continuing to use the apps after a change means you accept the revised terms.
